Green Laser
How dangerous is a green laser pointer 30mW?

if shone in the eyes of someones or reflected in the eyes of those someones. So dangerous than a 5mW green laser pointer?

Well, 30mW is very dangerous if put into the eye. Here is a rule of thumb: In 1mW, a laser exceeds the threshold of light damage to the human eye. This means that anything above 1 mW can and will do harm to your eye. However, up to 5mW laser is considered relatively safe, despite being more than that threshold. The reason is that the damage that occurs during a period of time, the most powerful, the shortest time. But you have an automatic reflex to blink and look away when the light above the threshold of success of your eye. So, until 5mW, blinking and looking the other way before the damage is done. Of course, if you resist this reflection, it will hurt. Above 5mW, damage occurs more quickly than they can open and close, of intermittently, will not save you. At 30mW, is well above that threshold and the damage could be significant. But these are just rules of thumb. There is many factors that come into this that these levels may change slightly as the size of the terrain and the dark room. Moreover, this is true for visible lasers only. IR and UV lasers are a different matter. But, by a laser as a laser pointer, these golden rules are generally accurate. Of course, you want to avoid brighter than any laser in someone’s eyes, even below 5mW, there are still some risks and at least be uncomfortable for that person. It should also be noted that for lasers powerful (30mW), even weak reflections off shiny surfaces can be above the limit of 5 MW. Many injuries occur when people are being careful with the main beam, but are not paying much attention to reflection. And just so you know, the way of damages light your eye is identical to a burn. which focused on a small spot on the back of the eye and simply cooks the retina. This is not painful because they have pain receptors in the retina. But if it is a visible laser, you will know the overwhelming brightness. Or laser (if visible) is a danger to your skin (because the light is less focused as it does in the eye).
