How dangerous is a green laser pointer 30mW?

Well, 30mW is very dangerous if put into the eye. Here is a rule of thumb: In 1mW, a laser exceeds the threshold of light damage to the human eye. This means that anything above 1 mW can and will do harm to your eye. However, up to 5mW laser is considered relatively safe, despite being more than that threshold. The reason is that the damage that occurs during a period of time, the most powerful, the shortest time. But you have an automatic reflex to blink and look away when the light above the threshold of success of your eye. So, until 5mW, blinking and looking the other way before the damage is done.
